After our field trip we could only found that
the (a) and (d) are the only two requesting that adopted by the PMQ management
company. Central and
Western District Council should be the representative of the local residents in
that region and consider what needs are residents requesting. To provide those
services which are forgo by the PMQ are bring convenience to the local
residents and accept a new heritage as a part of their daily life which could increase
their sense of belonging and a sense of pride to be a part of this district.
The government also set up a three-month public engagement exercise in 2008 for collecting public opinions. Here is the exercise below:
We could see that they only set up two day for
opening the heritage site to public and one day for public seminars even they
had collected many other opinions form different aspects. But the general public from this region, did the government listen to their opinions? Who is the public they were consulting?
